My main issues that have really annoyed me so far(minor to many i guess)
Favor needs adressing;cannot get into underworld
;cannot buy underworld scrolls
;cannot buy Fissue armor
;cannot max HoM
Conclusion; Retarded or a team of dev's happy to put the knife to the throat of there 1st born at the age of 8
scrolls not being buyable is because someone bought ALL of them off the scroll trader O_O.
You can still buy them off people in kamadan, and i got my obby armour recently.
I've been able to go in when favour gets triggered.
PvP needs adressing ;cannot get any opponent/match anywhere. Everything is synced or cheated, and it's about who got most accounts to sync these...
GvG is a pure joke : all matchs on ladder are either teams farming bots for +1, or the same players facing themselves for champion points.
Halls, AB, Codex are empty and unplayable apart for those same syncers again.
Titles are cheated and abused and it's not fair at all..
There were a few players left, but they stopped because it was pointless : they play in order to stop those guys, but those ones are playing 24/7 and go on syncing at anytime.
I did play for 1 match then suddenly no more opponents. Then when all my players left, those guys go on syncing again. They're rewarded and i'm not. Amazing !!
Quite the same for PvE about UW/FoW as well : last time i was bored and decided to do some UW aswell, but no favor and no scrolls anywhere( apart of some abusive prices).
If i won't complain a lot for PvE, what happens in PvP is unacceptable and needs to be fixed. There's no reason only cheaters should be rewarded.
>cannot buy underworld scrolls
Incorrect. See Silver Zaishen Coin NPC Pokhe, he sells them for 3 silver zcoins and 50g.
>cannot buy Fissue armor
Incorrect. See above mentioned NPC Pokh for FoW scrolls. If this is a question of shards and ecto, you may need to see this NPC a lot. :]
>cannot max HoM
This sounds more like a personal issue than a game issue. What exactly can you not max? If this is in regards to FoW and UW, please do more diligent research before wasting our time.
In regards to PvP, yes. PvP has been on substantial decline for a while now to the point that syncing formats with winner/loser teams is now feasible where they previously were not. This could use some addressing somehow, but it doesn't really matter too much anyway.
EDIT: I accidentally a word

yeah, i think at best they're destroying it with willful neglect, the syncing, the obvious bots, the gold sellers
however if anet feel happy to neglect a proportion of their customer base, it's only their investors that will suffer, there are plently of other games, and plenty of other companies that police their games competently

Why involve favor for access to UW or FoW anyway? Didn't you earn the gods' favor during the ascension process? Give 24/7/365 access and just leave the 1k (or scroll) bribe to the gate keepers.

i 100% agree, scrolls can be nice for those who cant/dont wanna waste ingame money
as for "killing off gw1" : i think they'll still keep doing updates (even though i didnt like the last one, which looks non-tested) and if they can use their resources for GW, they most likely will give more customes and such, but also that elona's new content, which they (i heard, as stumme said something about it) have done on paper, mostly
and if they have a way better resources income wit GW2 in business now, they could even make a GW expansion, which could be like eotn, but without HoM
so i dont think there is a "killing off GW" just yet
i dont play GW much atm, cuz i need help with a list i put on forums, but after that, i'll continue my GW "adventures"
i kinda dont wanna do GW if i have half stuff done i need help with.... lol, thats me
anyway, dont expect GW to die just yet, as i saw alot of people not liking GW2 at all, and some people just wanna see alot from GW2, then may return to GW and switch between them.... thats what i heard from several people i know in GW
I dont think that access to fow/uw is 'killing off' gw1....there are still ways to get scrolls.
If they had wanted to 'kill' it off they would not have done that last ele update.
OP just because you can not get to the uw/fow is NOT enough reason to think the game is being 'killed' off....there are TONS of areas to play and ways to get access.
Things definately need to be adjusted in the game on Anets end though. In my case faction is a big issue. I can't play a single round of FA because there's no one left to play with. I can do vq but it's not fun after clearing all of the zones several times. Books aren't really that great a way to gain faction all the time either.
Guild Wars PvE has always been driven by PvP even before the skill split.
Even years ago the High-End economy was mainly controlled by PvP players, which makes me believe that we need to fix that first then PvE will follow.
There are of course tons of things wrong with PvP at the moment, but mainly its a lack of players. GvG, AB, HA they all need loads of players to function and right now we do not have them or at least we do not use them right.
Because, do not make the mistake that we are out of resources yet, as there is plenty of manpower. Most of them are however grinding with their heroes to achieve titles, and thus not really being constructive.
Which is why I think it is interesting to launch the 'AB-wednesday' as a test project and see how it turns out. If it is successful (which depends on everyone here) we can extend it into HA-monday etc...
Please refer to 'Alpha Panda' in-game for notes on how to spread word out to the masses (I will be 'preaching' about it in Kamdan, LA, etc... for sure).

FA is dead, but JQ is active, strange i thought until a guildie told me it was because bots are so easy to run in the JQ, and obviously it is full of bots, and it isn't as fun as FA
same bots, reported time and time again, nothing is done
yeah, pvp has been neglected for an extremely long time....not quite sure what they could do to help it along (I dont pvp so...no clues there).
pve has a few things that need addressing.
also guild hall sigils....since there is a lack of pvp, these are only in the hands of a few people not really willing to sell them for a reasonable price.
but I think we must also remember that the 'live team' may also still be very limited (eg only a few peeps)...and may still have some (all) of their attention diverted to bugs in the other game still.
Well limitation is only a small part of the problem, they haven't gone back and publicly addressed anything, which is typical behavior of a developer who's interest is letting their previous product die off in favor of pushing us to feed their gravy train.
TBH, most company's would have pulled the GW1 plug the minute they had started GW2. They are not killing GW1 off, but it is a very old game that has reached the end of the life cycle. They have been preparing for this time for months by putting as much things on auto-run. I do believe they will return for some minor fixes, like the dependency on PvP for PvE and the issue of favor.
After that my guess is they will withdraw. This means no new content, those people who want to play are very welcome, but don't expect the level of updates like you are used to. Some people have some hope, that they will finish guildwars beyond, but tbh, I would be surprised if they did.
You could expect them to make an statement bout this so all would know what to expect, but I doubt it will happen. The reason is that to keep the servers running they still need some people investing in the game through micro-transactions and new copy's. They are not killing this game, but it was released in 2004. That was bout the same time we where also playing games like doom 3, age of empires 3 and need for speed most wanted. All pretty good games, but outdated and old.
Just to compare. I'm in the EU timezone and it is primetime atm. Kamadan has in AeD two districts. But if all players in other language districts would be in dis 2, it would still not be full enough for a third one.
The amount of people is less then on any given server in GW2 Lion's Arch. There are 48 worlds in GW2. So the population in the main town is 48 times as high compared to GW1. Besides that the purpose off towns in gw2 is only for travelling, talking to npc's and exploration. You don't need to be in a town to form a group or to sell to other players. So a moderate estimation is that 60 times more people are playing gw2 compared to gw1.
All of the people who are playing gw2 have paid 50 USD or more in the last 6 months to get access. Thos who are playing GW1 have paid a long time ago or only a faction of that amount of money.
Arenanet is a company and not charity. Besides that they have always stated they have the best community of the world. But slowly (some) of the GW1 community are imo overdemanding. If Arenanet agrees with me on this point it would be very possible they decide to take GW1 off the life support earlier. It is still on cause they like us. So please give them some love back people.
I would be interested to see how many people actually still play the game.
With regards to the gold seller in GToB, I believe he's been there longer than four days, as I've seen him there for about a couple weeks now. No use in reporting since it's probably a trial account and subsequently easily created and replicated for such activities.
